Good morning everyone and welcome to another day of featuring our fantastic Design Team members. Today we are going to introduce Felicia Thomas to you all.
Felicia is originally from Kent in South East England but has lived in Killarney, Co. Kerry for 20 years now. She considers it home. She has 3 children aged 21, 18 and 15, a very patient partner and a dog named Toby.
She comes from an artistic family and was always working on some craft or other. Her Mum taught me her to knit and use a sewing machine when she was 8 and she made pocket money taking in my friends jeans in secondary school –(apparently because it was the 80’s, if you could sit down, they weren’t tight enough!)
She sold hand painted tights in college and made beaded jewellery for brides and bridesmaids. However when she discovered paper crafting a whole new craft world opened up to her. This lead to mixed media art and her proudest moment so far which was having her Christmas card designs displayed with an agent at the Surtex licensing show in New York!
We love Felicias style, it is very unique and arty! From cards, art journalling and canvases to mini albums, you can see this reflected in some of her work below:
Felicias blog is the wonderful Scrapzville. Felicia also hosts the Scrapzville Swap, which is now being supported by Crafting Ireland. She does an amazing job on the swaps, and everyone who partakes in it always enjoys!
We are delighted to have Felicia officially on our design team. She had previously been a guest contributor to the magazine so some of you may already be familiar with her fantastic tutorials. We know she has lots more inspiration up her sleeve to dazzle us all with!
Thank you for visiting us today. We will be back tomorrow with another super-talented crafter on our Design Team!
