Today we are going to share a great idea from Eva, our DT member.
A great way to decorate a large wall space is to cover letters in co-ordinating paper and adhere to your blank wall. I’ve done mine on my client photography wall to break up all the images.
What you will need:
- Select your blank letters to spell your word, i.e. LOVE, LIFE, LIVE, FAMILY etc
- Select a different patterned for each letter. I kept it simple by choosing black and white (also goes with my black frames.
- White paint
- Brads or gems
Choose your co-ordinating paper for each of your letters, lay them out to see which pattern goes where, mix stripes with florals and other patterns.
Cover your letters, trimming the paper close to the edge of the letters
Sand the edges of the letters until the edges are smooth
Use the white paint to cover the edges, blending using either your finger or a baby wipe
Decorate your letter with tied ribbons and brads or gems.
Adhere your letters to the wall using strong glue or hot glue gun.
