Christmas Banner

Hi everyone,

Today Sue is going to show us how to create a Christmas banner.

What you will need:

White Cardstock.

3 x triangles measuring base 15 cms and sides 21 cms tall.

Different spray paint and shimmers.

Hot Glue gun.

Ribbon, cord or string.

Spellbinder scallop circles.

Alphabet letters  -J -O -Y.

Peel offs – Christmas stockings.

Versamark.

WOW embossing powder in copper and glamour glitter green

Heartfelt Creations Stamps – Rye Grass Flourishes.

Antistatic Bag.

Step 1

Spray the triangles and an A5 piece of white cardstock with different spray inks.  I used Dylusions, Colourwash, and Glow Spritz

Step 2

Take an antistatic pad and wipe over the surface of the inked card.  Then, stamp in Versamark, the flourish and heat emboss with copper embossing powder.

 Step 3

Stick the peel offs onto the dry, sprayed card then cut out.

Step 4

Die cut 3 scallop circles and spray with other coloured inks and repeat step 2.  Die cut a further 3 scallop circles larger that the first in dark card.

Step 5

Either stamp out or draw the letters – J- O-Y- onto cardstock and again spray with inks. Heat dry.  Cut these out.  Stamp in Versamark the Rye Grass flourish on part of the letter and heat emboss with green litter embossing powder.

Step 6

Glue the banner together with a hot glue gun, spacing everything out and using all 6 of your stockings 1-2-2-1 onto your string.  It makes a lovely accent over your mantelpiece or adapt this for any occasion using different words and colours.

If you try this project share it with us on our Facebook page.

I really like the colors used. I like the peel offs (or dazzles here in the states). It’s very festive.

  3. Gorgeous banner. Thank-you for tutorial. Nicola x
