Altered Wall switch – Felicia Thomas

Hi Everyone,

Today Felicia is showing one of her great home decor ideas.

Felicia says:

“Although this project is really simple, I needed the help of someone who is confident with electrics to remove and reconnect the switch.

I used paper scraps and washi tape to decorate a light switch. You simply add the tape to the sides of the switch and fold in the excess (so much easier then trying to cut paper to fit!) then tear strips and add them to the front. Add pieces of design paper adhered with Mod Podge.

When you are happy with your design paint a layer of Mod Podge over the whole thing to act as a sealant.

When it is reconnected I think I will cover the screw holes with some bling – pretty light switches, what more could you want?!

Fantastic idea!! If you try it at home please make sure that you are safely handling the switches and don’t get hurt.

Happy Crafting,

  1. I’d venture to say that kids would especially love this idea.
