Tag Holder by Karen Matthews

Hi everyone,

Today Karen, our fantastic DT member will show you a quick tutorial on how to create a tag holder.

Materials used:

  • 8×8 in black cardstock
  • 1 Ranger Inc, No 8 manila tag
  • 1 Ranger Inc, No 5 manila tag
  • Patterned Paper. I used The Olde Curiosity Shoppe from Graphic45
  • Ribbon and lace
  • Edge Punch

Step 1

Score the 8 x8 black cardstock at 2 ¼ in from the left and right sides and fold in. Cut the top two corners off at 45 degrees, i.e. to look like a tag.

 Step 2

Cut a section from each of the side panels, to leave you with a central tag shaped section and 2 side pieces measuring 2 ¼ x 4 1/2.

Step 3

Glue the two side flaps together, and also close the bottom of the tag holder by gluing.

Step 4

Decorate the tag holder, creating a smaller pocket on the front using a piece of patterned paper.

Step 5

Decorate the tags, being careful not to over-embellish, as the tags will not slide in properly if they are too bulky.

 The finished product

We hope you liked this quick but fabulous idea,
