Envelope album – Andrea Kovacs

Hi everyone,

Today Andrea’s turn to show us her take on an envelope mini album.

What you will need:

  • DL envelopes (6 or 8 would be plenty)
  • chipboard sheet for the cover
  • patterned paper
  • embellishments
  • inks
  • cutting dies

Step 1

Take your envelopes and cut off a little piece from both ends. This will create the pockets.

Step 2

Punch half-circles on both ends of the envelopes.

Step 3

Adhere the envelops together as shown in the picture below.

Step 4

Adhere all the envelopes together.

Step 5

Cut three pieces of the chipboard sheet for your cover. Your envelops will determine you the dimension of the cover.

Step 6

Use some washi or other tapes to connect the chipboard pieces together.

Step 7

Ink the edges of the cover before gluing down the patterned paper.

Step 8

You can distress the edges of the paper if you want to.

Step 9

Die cut some hinges form grunge-paper and ink it with some Distress Inks.

Step 10

Assemble the mini album. Glue the hinges into place and add brads to complete the closure of the album.

Glue the first envelope to the front and the last one to the back cover.

Step 11

Decorate the front cover. The polymer clay embellishments are from a brand new craft store in Hungary: NoiCsizma. She sells handmade very unique scrapbooking embellishments. Absolutely fantastic!!!

You could finish decorating the album when you put all your photos in it.

We hope you liked this mini album.

Happy Crafting,
