About

Hi there and welcome to Crafting Ireland – a brand new and exciting Irish craft magazine!! Visit our WEBSITE for previous issues, full information on submissions, challenges and advertising.

We will initially be publishing the magazine online. Our aim is to be a magazine aimed at the growing Irish crafting market. We want to showcase crafters and bring relevant information to Irish crafters about products and classes in Ireland. We are open to everyone though, you dont have to be living in Ireland to read the magazine or to submit to be published.

In our magazine we intend to explore the following areas, but to name a few:

  • Card making
  • Scrapbooking
  • Techniques
  • How to use products
  • Altered Art
  • Crafting on a budget
  • Challenges for crafters
  • Spotlight on Irish crafters

We will be writing about products, techniques, styles and much more. We will also be looking for your input to the magazine. We will be including your work spotlighted in the magazine. This is your magazine and your resource and we hope you enjoy it!!

  1. Fantastic to hear of this on-line crafting mag. I think it is so important for Ireland to have its own magazine and hopefully it will be able to show off the crafting talent from our own ‘Emerald Isle’. All too often already well-known crafters from further afield take the spotlight and our own talent is over-shadowed. Looking forward to perusing the first edition!

  2. Hi Crafting Ireland

I think your new online magazine idea is great!! I was wondering if you would be needing any full-time contributors to the magazine? I used to be a regular contributor to the UK craft magazines Making Cards and 12×12 Scrapbooking and a full-time papercraft demonstrator and tutor until I had to give up work due to chronic health problems. I do still craft and my health has been bad lately but finally my doctors are nearing a solution to the problems so I’m trying to find work again and I would love to write/design for you. I do have a blog that can be found at http://theartofpapercrafts.blogspot.com but I’ve not updated it with projetcs since late last year due to hospital tests, they are now all complete and I’m able to start committing to dealines again. If you would like to talk further please feel free to email me

I look forward to hearing from you

    regards Donna

  3. Very nice magazine and not just because it is free lol. I love the pictures and the projects you have chosen. Your challenge is for a scrapbook page but will cards be accepted too? I am not “from Ireland” but my grandmother was 100% Irish so I am 1/4 Irish can I still enter my items?
    Lovely job ladies.

      Hi Mary,
Thanks very much for you kind words. The challenge is for scrapbook or card layouts and is open to anyone at all!

It’s great to see fellow Irish crafters contributing and working with a focus to projects. I am part of the Archangels Craft Club – we meet in St. Gabriels Clontarf every Tuesday 7.30 – 9.30pm and do all sorts of crafts – knitting, cross stitch, card making, beading and scrapping etc. We are in our 9th year – all very informal but its a place to craft with like minded individuals. We are always on the lookout for demonstrators and enjoy the social aspect of crafting (along with the tea and cake!) If anyone is interested in coming along to join us, or maybe there is another club out there who would be interested in doing a christmas craft day together plese do contact me.

  5. Well done ladies! I’m from the USA and I found your magazine on Paperfriendly email that I get regularly. Your layout is very nice and the content is great. I was a demonostrator for a rubber stamping company for many years. I still do workshops at events and in my home office. I have my own website/blog that I display projects that I’m working on. I’ve been looking to do something like this for a long time, but couldn’t find the resources to do it inexpensively. Keep up the good work. Waiting for your next issue

  6. Hi,

Wanted you to know I ‘pinned’ the magazine today on Pinterest in my Sites/Blogs folder. Let me know if you want me to remove the pin.

Thanks for that Nancy and for letting us know, we are delighted you pinned us and have no problem with it at all! Thanks 🙂
