DIY Enamel Dots

Hi all,

Nicole here today with a quick DIY craft supply project. I love the look of the enamel dots that I keep seeing around everywhere. But budget is tight at the moment so I tried to improvise some!

Step 1

Get some nail varnish. I used a black and yellow from Pennys – E1.49 a bottle. They have lots of amazing fun colours in their range, and they are not the best for on your nails but they work perfectly for this project.

step 1

Step 2

Work on a craft sheet or other non stick surface. Allow a drop of nail varnish to fall on the sheet. Let a second one fall directly on top of the first to make a bigger dot.

step 2

Step 3

Let dry at least over night!

step 3

I tried this with Liquid Pearls and Stickles as you can see below but compared to the nail varnish (blue dot on the photo below) they just don’t give the same results at all.

step 4 Step 4

When fully dry peel off the craft mat.step 5 Step 5

Enjoy!!

You can see close ups of how they look on my card below….step 6 step 7

I hope you try this simple fun method. It is a brilliant way to get some use out of old nail varnishes you may have around the house!!step 8
