Spring Card!

Spring Card by Katya Ivanova

  • We will need:
  • craft paper
  • burlap
  • lace
  • scrap paper
  • raffia
  • flowers
  • twine, string
  • brads
  • flower soft
  • stamp

Step 1
We will start by getting ready a card base and also base mats and mats for inside of the card. 1
Step 2

Emboss the craft paper using brick wall embossing folder.

2Step 3
Distress all the papers using Vintage Photo distress ink.

3Step 4
Then cut out a strip of paper. I used burlap print paper to go with the overall eco style. And rip the edges of the paper.

4Step 5
Layer scrap paper, followed by burlap and lace onto the craft paper base. Stitch all the elements on using red threads to add a bit of colour. The strip of burlap is recycled from a shopping bag. I am sure you all use Tesco bags for life. Well after mine ripped I decided to cut it up and use the bits of burlap.

5Step 6
Using raffia, string, flowers and shabby seam binding make a little bunch of flowers.

6Step 7
Make a sentiment using a stamp and cut it out.

7Step 8
Then I took a flower and cut it in half. I tucked it under the papers and fixed in place using nail- imitation brads.

8Step 9
And a final touch add some flower soft.

And enjoy!

Christmas Tag

Hi All,

We have Katya here on the blog today to show us a gorgeous fun Christmas inspired tag.

What you will need:

  • We will need
  • coloured cardstock
  • coordinating scrap papers
  • tag (chipboard or die cut)
  • lace and ribbons
  • brads
  • buttons
  • stamp sentiment

Step 1

Cut out the base of the cards and two pieces of coordinating scrap paper according to measurements.

Step 2

Distress all papers using Vintage Photo distress ink.

Step 3

Add some cotton lace and pom pom ribbon and stitch around the card.

Step 4

Glue the chipboard tag using foam tape to give it more dimension. I have also bent back one corner and put a snowflake brad through it. Add a sentiment stamp, alternatively you can use heat embossing.

Step 5

Make a double bow using shabby seam binding and twine, attach to the card using a brad.

Step 6

I have decorated the chipboard tag with some washi tape. Using hot glue gun I have glued a poinsettia and pine cones. Then I sewed on some buttons and added pearls. As a finishing touch- go over some embellishments with white acrylic paint to make an imitation of snow.
